The owner of a large office building was looking for a building manager. I have had extensive experience with apartment building management, but not much with office building management. I figured it would be the same, and the owner of the office building was happy with my experience. I started working in the office building three weeks ago, and it’s been one nightmare after another. I totally and completely understand why the building owner didn’t want to deal with any of the clients. There are tons of problems throughout the building, including issues with the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. We have constant problems with hot and cold spots throughout the offices. Last week, half of the toilets on the second floor weren’t working. The office building tenants are fed up with the problems, and I can see why. Unfortunately, I can’t offer them much help. The office building manager doesn’t want to spend a fortune to renovate the place, so the problems aren’t going to get any better. I mentioned some preventive maintenance would really help the office building, but the owner wants to fix things as they break. It’s really no wonder why all of the tenants are angry, aggravated, and threatening to break their lease and leave the building. My office is on the third floor, and I take the stairs. They did not even want us to chop up, plus now they might have to leave their school plus all of their friends. I knew things would be hard when my partner plus I got divorced, but I did not anticipate so many of these bad financial struggles.

I often travel for my job.

For around 4 months out of the year, I’m on the road.

I am currently single, so my house sits vacant a bunch. I always worried about what I might come home to. I am so busy. There is a chance of mangle caused by drastic weather conditions. I’d have no way of knowing if a tree fell on the roof or the basement was filled with water until I arrived home. I considered taking in a friend, but wasn’t ecstatic with this idea. The house automation plan is linked to my smartphone, allowing me to look up on the home at anytime, from virtually anywhere in the world. I’m able to watch real time video of the inside and outside of the property. I get texts if there’s someone outside, a temperature fluctuation, power outage or if a window or door is accessed. Along with checking up with the home, I can also make adjustments. Through an app on my PC I’m able to up or decrease indoor temperature, turn lights on and off, unlock to lock doors and even start up numerous household appliances.

After staying in the northern part of the world for nearly 40 years, my husband and I had enough of the frosty and cold temperatures. Every one of us stay in our original house during the Spring and summer time and move down south for the fall and winter. Maintaining the 2 homes was a little more difficult than we thought it would be though. Every one of us worried about the heater just up and quitting and our water pipes freezing up and bursting in the house up north. There was the concern of mildew, rodents and bugs getting into the house in the south; No matter which house we were in, we looked over the security at the other home. What if someone busted in, stole things or caused damage? Every one of us might not have any clue for months. Every one of us get checks if there’s movement somewhere on the lawn. We are old, so why not buy what we actually want for once? For the first time in our lives we met with an interior designer. Rather than pick out anything cheap and easy to move, we had custom built furniture for our space. The bed was made to our exact heights and width. The couch was a little shorter and more shallow for our shorter heights. The dining room table is perfect for the space and the chairs are so comfortable. All the custom built furniture is of the highest quality and so comfortable. I like the design of the house best though. The interior designer tried to push a Contemporary Condo design on us. It looked too cold and clean to me. This was our beach house in the south. It should be fun! I settled on a Southwest design. The interior designer showed me Southwest Sparkler Furniture and that is when I got hooked. My husband and I call it our Morroccan house though. The patterns of the pillows and sheets are wild and crazy. The colors are super bold. We have bright reds, dark purple and even some pinks in the house. We love it and think it is perfect for a retired couples southern home. It might be a bit overdone for some people, but it is just what we needed. By the time we would get tired of it, we would be dead.

The add on space in the house is just a touch lower than the rest of the home so you have to watch the step. The room is also very weirdly shaped. You can’t fit a bed, couch or any style of furniture in their comfortably. My husband and I treated the room like a storage space for years. Once we had kids the room had to be put to use though. I decided to make it a bedroom, but be smart about it. I had to get a custom furniture store to build everything. The bed frame had to be a special length and width in order to fit through the door and into the room. The dresser had to be the right height or it would hit the ceiling. I also had custom made shelving units that did not stick out too far or it would take up all the walkway space. I fully expected the room to be horrible and my child to hate it. Well I have to say that the room is now the best one in the house. Yes, it is a little weird in shape and height, but the furniture makes it awesome. Every furniture piece is perfectly made and convenient. The condition of the wood is gorgeous and the furniture has so many neat features on it. I sort of want to kick my child out of the room so I can have it.

I don’t have a fancy wardrobe or need to buy lunch out. The things I mainly spend money on are HVAC and my work station. I need quality heating and air conditioning when I work on my laptop for hours. But, I really need a good workstation to keep me comfortable. I invested in custom built furniture and it was such a smart move. I got a desk that is the perfect height for me. The desk also has multiple drawers for my papers and various electronics. I specially ordered a pull out drawer for my computer to fit in perfectly. I wanted it out of sight when I don’t use it. I also had the custom built desk made so my various cords could be fed through and not noticeable. The final touch was a little shelf under the desk where my feet fit perfectly on. Sometimes I like to lift my feet up and relax. It is really a game changer when working. I even used the custom furniture guy for my desk chair too. I wanted one that did not have arm rests. I also had a specific height and width in mind. In the past desk chairs would hurt my butt and legs after sitting a long time. Not this desk chair. The padding on the chair is so soft and comfortable. I honestly could sit in it all day.

My parents are obsessed with Tuscany.

Ever since they traveled there they have been raving about it.

The people are amazing, the food is wonderful, the wine is fabulous and the decor is the greatest one ever. My parents love Tuscany so much that they wanted their home to remind them of their favorite place ever all the time. My parents met with an interior designer and got their whole home to reflect a Tuscan Territorial theme. They got all Tuscan Beauty furniture. The drapes in their house are so fancy and dark. The throw pillows all reflect the theme and there is even art on the wall. I could see doing one room in the Tuscan Territorial theme. Make your bedroom look like Tuscany and call it a day. The whole house shows the theme though. The kitchen looks like a Tuscan chef would whip up a fancy pasta in there. The bathroom has all sorts of art pieces of Tuscan sites. The living room couch was upholstered, the rug was torn out and the TV stand was redone to show the Tuscan Territorial theme. It is a little overwhelming when you first go into their home. You are not going to miss their theme at all. Honestly though, if my parents like it, which they do, then good for them. It is a bit much in my opinion but the interior designer did give them exactly what they asked for. It looks like you are in a traditional Tuscan house and you won’t forget it for one second.

As long as the company was good at what they did, they could rely on satisfied clients to tell everyone and grow the business. There was also newspaper ads. Clients searched the newspaper or phone books to find professional services. Now everyone looks online and that’s where we need to concentrate our advertising campaign. I am an HVAC dealer. I don’t know a lot about computer stuff. My skills are limited to the heating and cooling field. I hired an SEO business to create and manage my digital advertising campaign. They started by building an HVAC company website for me. There is a page for each of our services. Our phone number is included at the top of each page. That is the only part of the strategy that I can explain or understand. I know the SEO team does something that helps the HVAC website to show up better on google. We don’t pay for google ads or anything like that. They use specific words that people tend to type into a search bar when they are in need of HVAC services in our area. Once those words are entered, our HVAC company hopefully shows up and they will be tempted to click on our site. Then I have the opportunity for a new customer. I don’t understand the behind the scenes process and I don’t care. I just rely on the SEO department to keep generating new business for me. The online advertising strategies have been working really well. I have never seen so many new customers before. It is absolutely wonderful. It is a more reliable solution for getting the company name out there to clients.
