I can’t believe how terror-struck my friend is when it comes to bees

When it comes to bees, my friend Amy is completely scared stiff.

She has hated bees since both of us were kids, and it hasn’t improved as we’ve gotten older, either. I easily remember her running like a deranged person away from her car once because she had tried to drive away and then she saw a wasp in her rearview mirror in the back of the car. She took off running and refused to get back in the car until I personally killed the bee and showed her its dead body in a paper towel. I don’t really care for bees either, however I’m not afraid of them the way that she happens to be! If there is ever a yellow jacket, a wasp, a bee, a hornet, or even a sizable fly in her personal space, she will quickly run and hide. It’s kind of funny to be honest. I would never tell her that, though, because I suppose that she is sincerely scared to death of them. She had to reach out to a local bee extermination team not too long ago because she found a couple of yellow jackets near the window in her property. She completely freaked out and she was convinced that she was under siege by a ton of bees. When the bee exterminators arrived at her property, they were only able to locate a few bees on the premises, and so they couldn’t really charge her the full fee for doing a mass extermination on her property. She told them that she agreed to pay the full price anyway, just to be on the safe side. I don’t actually know what to tell her! Amy really needs to wear a bee proof suit when she goes outside in the warm season, I think.
