Keeping the a/c on for the food

We really live blessed lives in a blessed country! We have many luxuries in our everyday lives, and we even have ways to recover after natural disasters.

Some are so big that the recovery efforts are ongoing for years, but still, our resources are better than those of most other countries. One of the reasons is our great infrastructure. We have great roads that can take goods and services somewhere in the country. We have government agencies to deal with crises. Especially important is our power grid! Just about all the people in this country have electricity available at the flick of a switch all morning and all night. That is not the case everywhere in the world. For example, some people I know are from a country where the people do not have air conditioning. Those that do have a/c are only allowed to run that a/c during certain times of morning. If they try to operate the air conditioning or any other highly-draining items, they can be heavily fined. In fact, occasionally, the government shuts down the power plants at a certain time. But, our power grid is quite old. We do not, as a nation, ensure that the power grid is upgraded often. We only service it when it is broken, instead. We all worry about our air conditioning, but if the power grid is attacked by enemies or somehow fails us, the air conditioning will be the least of our problems. And don’t forget, air conditioning isn’t just intended to keep us cool. We need a/c in server rooms to keep computerized systems running. We need Heating & A/C to store perishable food. Even OTR trucks have cooling to transport food & other items.
