When it comes to bees of any sort, my good friend Stacy is seriously terrified of them… She has hated bees since we were young, & it hasn’t gotten any better as we’ve gotten older, either.
I totally remember her running something like a crazy person away from her vehicle one time because she tried to drive away & then she hastily saw a wasp in her rearview mirror in the back seat of the car.
She took off running & would not get back in the vehicle until I killed the bee & showed her its dead body inside of a paper towel. I don’t really like bees either, however I’m definitely not so scared of them the way that she is! If there is ever a yellow jacket, a wasp, a bee, a hornet, or even a monstrous fly in her personal space, she will run somewhere & hide. It’s kind of humorous, if you ask me. I would never tell her that, though, because I definitely know that she is absolutely petrified of them. She had to get a hold of a local bee extermination team last year because she found some yellow jackets near the window in her residence. She truly freaked out & she thought that she was under siege by thousands of bees! When the bee exterminators got to her residence, they only managed to find a couple of bees, & so they couldn’t charge her the full fee for doing a mass extermination at her residence. She told them that she would cover the cost for the full extermination anyway, just to be on the safe side. I don’t really know what to say to her, but Stacy probably needs to wear a bee proof suit when she goes outside in the Spring & summertime.
