Keeping our cabin warm in the Winter season is not an easy task.
The cabin that I am residing in right now is just temporary, however it is what I call home for now, so I try to keep it as comfortable as possible. It is a basement apartment, and I hardly pay anything to live here, so it is absolutely pretty great. My property owner lives in the home above me, and she is absolutely awesome. She does everything that she can to ensure that I care about residing in her apartment, and I absolutely appreciate it. She literally asks myself and others every month if there is something that needs fixed in the apartment. Whenever there absolutely is something to fix, she gets it fixed as soon as possible. The only issue that I have with residing here is heating. It is not easy to stay warm down here for some reason. I bought a section furnace last year to see if it would help keep our kitchen warmer at evening, and it definitely did. It raises the temperature about fifteen degrees. I used it all last Winter season, and I was super gleeful to use it this Winter season, but I broke it when I went to get it out of storage. I have storage bin that I keep our Winter season things in when it is warm. I went to get our section furnace out, and I dropped it on the cement floor in the storage area. It dented it pretty bad, however the worst section was that oil started pouring out of it. I have never seen that much oil come out of a section furnace before. It was quite disappointing. I think I will end up buying another a single because it absolutely did help keep our kitchen much warmer.
