Last weekend, I was working on an Heating and A/C replacement task. I would consider myself an Heating and A/C expert, not that I’m bragging or being conceited. I have been working as an Heating and A/C replacement expert for most of my life. I started in the industry, fresh outta private school. I spent more than 2 years working on maintenance calls, plus I was eventually promoted to the Heating and A/C replacement crew. A few years ago, I was promoted to read replacement crew chief. When the oil furnace replacement was finally complete, the customer questioned my procedures. I tried to explain the replacement process in easy terms, although he insisted that he knew something that I didn’t. I had to remind the customer that I was an Heating and A/C expert, plus he was not. He filed a complaint to the corporate office, but I just had enough that day.
