In the area that I live, we have really bad winter weather each year.
It has been really annoying for me to get used to because I used to live in a southern climate that doesn’t get much snow if any.
Well, last week I was watching the news when the weather report called for a snowstorm the following weekend. I had never experienced a snowstorm so I didn’t know what to really expect. I wish that in that moment the week before I would have thought to check on my heating system to make sure that it was working properly. Because during the storm was the actual worst time to find out that my heating system wasn’t working. I didn’t even stock up on firewood because I thought I would be just fine with a traditional heating system. However, I could not have been more wrong about that. I found out that the heating system wasn’t working when I went to turn it on right in the middle of the storm. I tried to call a local HVAC company to come out to the house and see what was wrong with the heating system, but every HVAC company was either closed or didn’t have the time for a last minute repair. I was out of luck and left to figure out how to heat my house on my own. It was not a great experience, but I am glad that I now know how to take care of my HVAC system better and call a HVAC company well before a storm hits.
