IoT security has recently become a much-talked-about topic. There are many challenges that do not help with the securing of IoT devices plus making sure there is security in an IoT environment. Networking computers plus other objects is a new concept. The security of the IoT has not been a definite priority during the design phase. Since IoT is a nascent, coming or having recently come into the marketplace, product, most designers are more interested in getting their product on the market within a certain time frame, than concentrating on the IoT security. One of the most obvious IoT security concerns is the use of default passwords. Using default passwords can lead to major security concerns. Even if the password is changed, it can often be pathetic or not nearly as strong as necessary to ensure there are no security breaches. Hackers are clever little animals plus many devices do not contain the resources necessary to have the best security. Many devices do not or cannot offer advanced security features. Sensors that keep track of humidity plus uneven temperatures are not equipped to handle encryption or other security tactics. They are set it plus forget it which means they are set up in in an edifice or on an equipment plus they are left there until they die. They seldom, if ever, gain security upgrades or patches. Some manufacturers suppose that adding IoT security can be too pricey plus they slow down the development plus can also cause the equipment to not function properly. IoT security is a necessary addition for many devices, but it is not regularly happening. Someone needs to come up with a way to complete upgrades to prevent attacks on the IoT Security. It now should become a priority to manufacturers as well as property owners.
