I have never owned a current car, but no, not even once in our 49 years of life; then I have always bought used cars, however buying used cars just makes more financial sense, after all, current cars lose half of their value within 2 years of purchasing them. No, not all of our used cars have been super old. I suppose the newest car I bought was only 3 years old, that was 1 of our more recent purchases. But years ago I had a 15 year aged car. It was all I could afford. I fixed it up every time something broke down. That happened a lot. The 1 thing I couldn’t fix, but, was the air conditioning system. It needed a current air conditioning system compressor as well as I couldn’t afford it. It cost something like $3000 just for the part. That was more than the whole car had cost myself and others to begin with; however, of course I just drove about without an air conditioning system. That aged car lasted myself and others almost 10 years before I finally junked it as well as bought a newer car. Thankfully, at that time, I was a bit more financially established as well as I could afford a car with an entirely working air conditioning system. It felt so nice to not arrive at work sweaty in the summertime; with the aged car, I remember just being ecstatic when I finally arrived at the office because I knew that meant cool air conditioning. However, all of the food was amazing plus the atmosphere was the best, and they had this fireplace that they would start up if it was cold outside, but you could see the fireplace from anywhere in the diner because it was right in the center of the home office… Besides, it was a small diner so you entirely couldn’t miss it, then every one of us entirely got to know one another while enjoying the heat from that fireplace.

However, life took us away from that town plus all of us ended up moving over 1,000 miles away shortly after all of us got married… However, I would often think of that little diner though plus all of us would visit every time all of us were back in town. Every one of us are about to retire now plus all of us have been talking of moving back home. It has been decades since all of us have been back to that little town or our number one diner. I got to wondering if it still existed. I looked it up plus found out it is for sale… Well, one thing led to another plus now all of us are all set to buy that little diner with the fireplace right in the middle of it. Every one of us are hoping that most of the staff will want to stay on after we buy it. If not, I guess I had better learn to cook more than a few dishes soon. But I just know that all of us will eventually make it work. I look forward to various conversations next to the fireplace once again.
