There really is no wrong temperature to set on the air conditioner any more than there is a wrong temperature to set on the heating system. I’m often surprised by people that seem to think that they know everything there is to know about heating and air conditioning units and what temperature should be set on them. The sooner people leave this topic alone and just let others be comfortable in their own home, the better the world will be in my humble opinion. People’s bodies feel comfortable in a wide variety of temperatures, and there’s often little rhyme or reason as to why they are comfortable in one environment over the other. Why would someone impose their views on someone else concerning something that is clearly a personal preference? If someone likes their home nice and cool with a very low temperature when the air conditioner is running, and someone else considers them to be living in an ice box, it’s really not their business anyway. Similarly, if someone likes a very high temperature in their home and uses barely any air conditioning, that is also their personal preference and they are more than welcome to it, because we are free human beings! I’m pretty sure that if you even ask certified HVAC technicians what the appropriate temperature is to put on your thermostat in any given season or in any given weather, they will probably give you a strange look. Unless it is for the sake of saving money on energy bills, setting a temperature on the thermostat is your own personal decision.

I am very surprised by people who seem to think that they know everything about how a person should live when it comes to just about any topic.

I believe that it is the personal preference of any homeowner when it comes to what temperature you set on the thermostat that counts. If you are a person that prefers cooler temperatures, why would you listen to anyone who insists that you should keep the temperature much higher? Owning a climate control device is all about your own personal comfort, right? So why on Earth would someone else be so arrogant as to tell you what temperature you should set on your thermostat? Similarly, if someone prefers much warmer temperatures than someone else, why on Earth would someone berate someone else for setting a temperature that is warmer than what they perceive to be normal? I think if you asked any given HVAC technician, they will tell you that there is no magic temperature on the thermostat that is universally appropriate in any given situation. It all comes down to personal preference. I feel the same way about what kind of thermostat you should actually use. If you like smart technology, then go for a smart thermostat. If you like old school type thermostats, then simple digital or dial thermostats are the way to go! What is the point of trying to be so controlling over other people’s lives?

It never ceases to amaze me how some people seem entitled to declare their own personal opinions as the law of nature or something like that.

So many people seem to argue about things that really only come down to one personal preference.

In other words, there is no right or wrong answer to certain dilemmas. Take this simple conundrum, for example: What temperature should a person set on their thermostat? Is there a set and universal temperature that is objectively the best choice for certain kinds of weather? Of course not! It all comes down to personal preference. Climate control is all about personal comfort, after all. So why do so many people feel the need to tell others that they are “”wrong” for setting a certain temperature on the thermostat? I suppose it’s one thing for people to be living together with very different ideas as to what is a comfortable temperature on the thermostat. Ideally, those people should come to some sort of compromise. However, if you’re some random Joe Blow who lives on his own, why would anyone tell you what temperature you should set on your thermostat? What are the arguments I hear is that certain temperatures are better for energy conservation. I can certainly sympathize with the idea of saving money on your monthly energy bill. Yet, I’ll still say, if someone wants to crank up the A/C in the summer or crank up the heat in the winter and pay that steep energy bill for the sake of their own personal comfort, that’s their prerogative!

It’s not like the vast majority of these people are actual certified HVAC technicians after all! In fact, I’m pretty sure that if you ask any HVAC technician what’s the magic number on the thermostat, they’re going to tell you that it’s up to personal preference. There’s simply no right or wrong answer. If you want to live in a house that has a mild temperature, that’s up to you. If you want to live in a house that is an ice box or a sauna, that is also up to you. Also, I would go so far as to say that there is no right or wrong type of thermostat to get for your home. If you love smart thermostats and smart gadgets in general, then go for a smart thermostat. If you prefer simplicity, then go for a dial thermostat or a simple type of digital thermostat

There are just too many people out there that think they know everything when it comes to heating and air conditioning systems and everything related. And they are not even heating and air conditioning specialists with a real certification! If you ask any certified heating and air conditioning specialist about thermostat settings and temperatures for heating and air conditioning they will tell you the same exact thing I am telling you now. And that is there is no right and no wrong. If you want your house warmer or colder that is up to you. If you want to live in a heat box or an ice box, that is also up to you. Also there is no right or wrong on the type of thermostat you have. If you do not like smart thermostats, then get a dial thermostat or a standard digital thermostat. If that is what makes running your central heating and air conditioning more easy, then go for it!

So of course, the scheduling issue was an accident on my part

I had an extremely fast-paced day this week at my job. I’m a local independent heating and air conditioning specialist, so I set my own schedule and I decide which appointments I want to take from customers. The way things were set up on this particular day, I had to move from one appointment to the next with all haste. I still tried to do the best possible quality job that I could do on each individual task, but I really needed to book it as fast as I could. I would finish one heating and air conditioning appointment only for the next one to be minutes away, and I would have to speed off in my van to the next house. If every single one of my work days was scheduled in this manner, I wouldn’t have breaks for anything and it would be a very stressful situation. So of course, the scheduling issue was an accident on my part. I didn’t realize I was scheduling so many appointments for one day. I had been scheduling so much work that I lost track of all the appointments, and in the future, if this happens again, I’m pretty sure that I’m going to have to tell some of my customers that they need to look for HVAC service elsewhere. I don’t want that to happen, so I’m going to make sure that my scheduling makes sense and is far more doable in the future, that’s for sure! I certainly would not want to stress myself out simply because I made such silly mistakes in scheduling!

I had an extremely fast-paced and difficult day today at my job. I am a local certified heating and air conditioning technician. I am an independent contractor, so I set my own schedule. This is actually very convenient for me and I love working for myself and working at my own pace.That being said, sometimes mistakes can be made. Recently, you can say that I got a little overeager in trying to schedule as much business as I possibly could. The way I set things up today, I had to move extremely quickly from appointment to appointment. I still tried to put in the quality work that I built up a reputation for doing, but it was difficult! I would finish fixing one furnace or troubleshooting one HVAC system, and then I would have to drive over to the very next appointment with a very short time frame between trips. As I said, I set my own schedule, so I wasn’t really forced into this extremely tight and stressful situation. It turns out that I had simply made the mistake of overbooking one of my work days. I did this because so many calls for HVAC service had come in, and I lost track of them all. The next time that I find myself overbooked, I think I’m just going to have to tell my customers to look to a different HVAC company. I would not necessarily want to leave them hanging, but I really need to avoid such stressful days!

Today, I learned a very important lesson about my job. I learned that it is possible to overbook appointments. One should not let their work overwhelm them to the point where they are drained and exhausted. You see, I am an independent contractor. I am an HVAC technician who is certified, and I set my own schedule and choose my own jobs. On this particular day, I took on almost more work than I could handle. I have to admit that if I worked like this every single day, then I wouldn’t have any breaks or any leisure time whatsoever throughout the week. This is not a usual thing that happens to me. I book appointments in the normal manner, typically, so this was a one time thing. The good thing about all this is that the reason I made the mistake of scheduling so many appointments is because there is simply so much work to go around for an HVAC technician right now in the middle of this hot and humid summer. I must say that if this ever happens again, I may very well need to refer the customers to a different HVAC company, because I won’t be able to handle them all. I don’t think I’ve ever worked so hard in my life before today, but to be honest you! There’s nothing wrong with helping people out with their HVAC problems, and making a good deal of money in the process, but I need to be more careful about my scheduling next time!

The way I scheduled this particular day, I had to move through my various tasks at the various houses I was working at very fast! Don’t get me wrong, I put in the quality labor necessary to do the job right at these appointments. It’s just that I really had to move quickly. I would finish one appointment for a broken air conditioner and the next one would be scheduled right on top of it. If I had to work like this everyday, then I would have no breaks whatsoever throughout the week. However, this was just a one-day thing. The truth is, that I didn’t actually realize what I was doing when I scheduled all of these various appointments in one day. It’s because I scheduled so many that I lost track of them. However, I will not make this mistake again. If this ever happens again, I don’t think I’ll be able to get through the day. If I overbook customers again, I guess I will just have to send them along to some other HVAC company. I really made it unnecessarily difficult for myself today. I really need to take it easy next time. There’s nothing wrong with working hard, but you have to be smart about it. Still, there sure are a lot of HVAC problems throughout my neighborhood to fix!

The way I set things up I had to move fast today. Do not get me wrong, I did all my heating and air conditioning work with the most high quality that I always do, it was just very fast paced with all the heating and air conditioning repair appointments that I had back to back. I would finish one heat and a/c appointment and then the next would come and I would be right onto it. There would be no breaks between heating and air conditioning appointments as I usually set for myself each and every work day of my week. But this was a one time thing. Because I actually did it by accident. I did not realize I was scheduling so many heat and a/c repair appointments. It was because they came in so fast this week I lost track. But in the future let me tell you that if something like this ever happened again I will be paying more attention to it and not schedule this way. If it turns out that I am overbooked I will just have to send the customers to another heating and air conditioning company to take the job. Because this fast paced day I had today was really overwhelming to say the least. I never have worked so hard in my life to be honest.
