I didn’t feel like going for a walk, because my favorite show was on, although I could feel his stare burning, when staring didn’t work, he started spinning around in circles and grunting to get my attention. His grunting started to drown out what the characters were saying, so I went ahead and put my show on pause and decided to take him outside, and as soon as I put my foot out the door and the ice cold breeze hit me in the face, I decided that I was in fact not going outside! My dog however, didn’t seem to realize that I disliked cold weather, and I didn’t want to disappoint him, so I let him outside in the backyard for him to play with the chickens, unfortunately, I still had to go outside to get some more air filters, as all of the HEPA filters were gone. I would have much rather stayed inside and enjoyed the heating from the furnace, rather than the cooling from outside. But I put on my jacket, and took my dog on a walk to the local Heating and Air Conditioning store. I bought the A/C filters I needed and headed back home at a brisk pace. I was so glad to get back home and flop back on to the couch and resume watching TV. I must have dozed off, because when I woke up the cable was on some other station, I believe that’s what happens when you have an incredibly comfortable and warm home.

I decided that the risk just wasn’t worth it, especially considering I spent a lot of my time away from home. I ended up giving the space heater away for free, to my niece. She contacted me a month later, and told me that it was awesome for her bedroom! She doesn’t need to use her central air conditioning system as much thanks to the heater, which saves money on the energy bill. I’m happy she could make good use of it, because it just seemed to be a disaster waiting to happen for me. She ended up using the heater for close to 11 years, before giving it away to a neighbor of hers. I had long forgotten about the heating unit when she told me she gave it away.
