When my husband and I just started dating we would go to this little restaurant that served everything from pizza to steak.
All of the food was amazing and the atmosphere was the best. They had this fireplace that they would start up if it was cold outside. You could see the fireplace from anywhere in the restaurant because it was right in the center of the dining room. Besides, it was a small restaurant so you really couldn’t miss it. We really got to know one another while enjoying the heat from that fireplace. However, life took us away from that town and we ended up moving over 1,000 miles away shortly after we got married. I would often think of that little restaurant though and we would visit every time we were back in town. We are about to retire now and we have been talking of moving back home. It has been decades since we have been back to that little town or our favorite restaurant. I got to wondering if it still existed. I looked it up and found out it is for sale. Well, one thing led to another and now we are all set to buy that little restaurant with the fireplace right in the middle of it. We are hoping that most of the staff will want to stay on. If not, I guess I had better learn to cook more than a few dishes. But I just know that we will make it work. I look forward to many conversations next to the fireplace once again.
