I had the heating and cooling supplier come to our home to do the annual inspection on the furnace.
I knew it was early to have a furnace inspection done, however last year they had said I may need a new furnace this year. So I didn’t need to go without heating, I made sure to call and have the inspection done early, just in case last year’s heating and cooling dealer was right. When the heating and cooling dealer arrived, he asked if we minded him bringing his fiance along, and they were supposed to be going to dinner together when she got the call to come here, but one of her fellow heating and cooling techs had called in sick, and he was asked to do this inspection. I didn’t have a problem with him bringing his fiance, as long as he did the job properly. Twenty minutes later, I heard some weird sounds coming from the basement and the girl was laughing. I popped our head into the doorway just in time to hear her shouting yes, and my mind went into places where it shouldn’t have. I motioned for our partner, who headed downstairs to see what was going on. He came upstairs and said that by coming to our house he wasn’t able to ask her to marry her. while at dinner. She figured it was just as good to ask her here as it was to wait until they got home. Since the heating and cooling tech didn’t need to go on any other service calls, I cooked them a romantic dinner so they could have a quiet meal before going home and celebrating.
