I guess there are plenty of times when life will throw something at you in order to remind you that you’re totally fallible when it comes right down to it! This started happening to me even back when I was a kid. But with my parents helping me, I was able to get up, dust myself off and get back to trying. It’s just that I have never been what you would call a lucky person. That would be something like coming home to a perfect Heating and Air Conditioning system after a long day at work. But for me, I am resigned to living in my parents’ basement. This was a result of immense school loans and a very low paying, entry level position at work. And I just couldn’t make ends meet paying for an apartment. And, it wasn’t all that much of an apartment! The plumbing and the Heating and Air Conditioning were both bad. The location was in a not so great part of town, and I even had to bring in a roommate. Even then, I just couldn’t make our budget fit with our circumstances. Thankfully, our parents have always been there to support me. They even gave me the basement and then my dad and I went about making it into a bit of a living space for me. The first thing that we did was go ahead and install a ductless Heating and Air Conditioning unit. There were no Heating and Air Conditioning vents in the basement at the time, and so I had to have some sort of heating & cooling. I was shocked that my dad and I were able to install the Heating and Air Conditioning component ourselves without calling an HVAC technician. But, it was certainly not too hard. I was even more shocked by how powerful that small ductless Heating and Air Conditioning component was when we turned it on. Putting in that one small addition helped make the situation a lot more bearable.
