Keeping snacks on me all day while I work

I have a few different protein filled snacks each day like granola bars, fruit, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and crackers

I recently found out that I have diabetes. Since I am only 30 years old, I really have to take care of myself. The doctor said that I should watch what I eat and exercise regularly. I joined a gym and I have a regular fitness routine. I try to eat healthy, but it is often a chore. I rarely have time to sit down and eat lunch. As a busy heating and cooling technician, I am always on the go. I am constantly moving from one job to another. Some days I might drive around to three or four different places. Other days, I might work on the same job site all day long. Sometimes I get to take lunch at 11, and sometimes I won’t eat until the afternoon. It often depends on my schedule for the day. I came home after a few days and my blood sugar was terribly out of whack. My girlfriend told me that I can’t keep missing meals. I know that the doctor would agree. Since I never know where I will be, my girlfriend decided to start packing a lunch kit every day. I have a few different protein filled snacks each day like granola bars, fruit, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and crackers. Ever since I started taking snacks to eat during the day, my blood sugar levels have been better. I talked to my boss about my health issues, and he told me that I could possibly get a set schedule in a few months. That will make my day a little easier, but I doubt that will happen soon.
