I knew it was a poor sign when I stepped in a chilly puddle next to the air conditioning unit… The air conditioning unit was in the garage, and so this puddle was current to me… I am not expertiseable at all when it comes to air conditioning technology, so I had no method what a leaking air conditioning meant, and whether it was serious or not, however, I am not the kind to take risks, and I decided to go ahead and have a heating and A/C specialist take a look at it and confirm that it was either okay or needed to be repaired.
- The heating and A/C worker arrived a few nights later, and by then the puddle had grown much greater, even after I kept mopping it up.
The air conditioning professional told me that it was clogged up, and it was caused by a dirty air filter. I assume I wasn’t decreasing the air filter as often as I should. Thankfully, the clog is a actually easy issue to fix, and as long as you catch it in enough time, it is not severe, and since I was upset, I did catch it in enough time to be repaired safely; After the furnace and air conditioning was repaired, the air conditioning repairman gave me a bit of a lecture of how often I should change the air filters, and while I was at it updated to HEPA air filters. I will absolutely change the filters more often, although I don’t know if I’ll get a HEPA air filter or not.
