Our Grandmother lived a short drive from our house, and instead of going home after school, my brother and I would walk to her house, most of the time, she was seated on the front porch waiting for us to arrive, but after both of us greeted her, we’d go into the house for some snacks and fun conversations, last week, both of us opted to go to her house as usual and found Mom’s truck outside, however we went into the house and I learned Grandma wasn’t feeling well, the old A/C equipment had caused her to fall ill and needed fixing, but none of us had been aware an aircon equipment could affect a one’s health until that afternoon, then Mom had taken Grandma to the hospital then phoned the A/C supplier for assistance. An HVAC corporation was working on the central heating and cooling equipment when we got to the house. Mom informed us that the cooling equipment had lots of mold and mildew in it. No one had run tests on it for some time, which caused the issue to get worse. The mold and mildew spores had spread across the house. Breathing them in would cause us all to get sick, however at least the issue was getting fixed. Mom talked to the heating and a/c corporation about an annual A/C maintenance plan to make sure that never happened again. The aircon expert had several options for her and went into detail about each. Every year, an A/C professional would come to Grandma’s home and check the a/c unit. If there were any problems, he had to fix them then clean different parts like the air filter and condenser unit. Doing so would keep all infection-causing gunk and organisms away and improve the air quality in her home. The matter was resolved, and Grandma’s health got better, but he was ecstatic Mom had jumped into action and helped her just in the nick of time.
