The treehouse window mini-split AC stopped working

Instead of setting it on ‘cool,’ the heating and cooling unit were on ‘hot.’ It seemed like a simple issue, but it was why the quality AC wasn’t powering on.

Summer was a glorious time for us as a family. My brother and sister would send their kids to us for the whole season. We lived in a big house out in the country and didn’t mind having them. Our kids loved having their cousins around, and there was always so much joy everywhere. About two years ago, my husband decided to build a treehouse for all the kids. When it was complete, they’d spend hours playing. Because it was so hot, we bought a mini-split AC for space. I called up some AC vendors in town and got an excellent offer. The ductless AC had numerous smart features that the kids could operate with ease. All the kids loved taking turns controlling the cooling unit with apps on their phones. But last summer, we had a problem with the HVAC unit. Suddenly, it stopped working. My oldest son had come to inform me in the kitchen. I went to the treehouse and tried to turn it on, but it wasn’t responsive. The only option was to phone an AC repair company to come to take a look. When the HVAC mechanic came, he noticed the main issue was an operations error. The AC wasn’t powering on because the kids were using incorrect settings. Instead of setting it on ‘cool,’ the heating and cooling unit were on ‘hot.’ It seemed like a simple issue, but it was why the quality AC wasn’t powering on. He checked the thermostat and reset the AC settings. After a few minutes of ductless AC repairs, it started working well again. He advised us only to have a few people control the cooling system to avoid similar problems in the future. All the kids were happy since they didn’t want to leave the treehouse.
