There is a problem with my air quality.

When I got home from work the other day, I noticed an odd smell in my home. I couldn’t quite place my finger on the odor but I was sure I knew what it was. I yelled for my son and asked if he noticed the odor. He looked around and told me ‘nope’ and went back to his room. When my husband got home from work, he said he noticed there was an odd smell in the house. I knew I wasn’t losing my mind. He suggested we call the HVAC company. He thought it could be something in the ductwork, or possibly something wasn’t working properly in the air purification system. I started cooking dinner while he put in a phone call to the HVAC company. Two hours later, the HVAC specialist was at our door. The first thing he noted was the odor in the house. He asked if either one of us had a run in with a skunk recently. I hadn’t even seen a skunk let alone hit one. My husband said he thought it was too early in the season to be seeing skunks. The HVAC tech checked out the ductwork and the air purification system, but he said he didn’t find anything wrong. He even inspected the heating and air conditioning. My son came out of his room and the smell was much stronger. He quickly went into the apologetic mode. He said he had found the baby wandering around without a mama and he couldn’t let it sit on the road to die. We took the baby skunk to the local animal rescue center.
