There are no right or wrong thermostat settings in heating or air conditioning.
It is whatever you and your body prefer and are custom to. This is just the way that it is. I have heard so many people say that this is the right setting for heating and that is the right setting for air conditioning. That is totally wrong! There is no right or wrong thermostat setting. When people realize this the better off the world will be in my humble opinion. There are just too many people out there that think they know everything when it comes to heating and air conditioning systems and everything related. And they are not even heating and air conditioning specialists with a real certification! If you ask any certified heating and air conditioning specialist about thermostat settings and temperatures for heating and air conditioning they will tell you the same exact thing I am telling you now. And that is there is no right and no wrong. If you want your house warmer or colder that is up to you. If you want to live in a heat box or an ice box, that is also up to you. Also there is no right or wrong on the type of thermostat you have. If you do not like smart thermostats, then get a dial thermostat or a standard digital thermostat. If that is what makes running your central heating and air conditioning more easy, then go for it!
