Volunteering my time to work with kids

Growing up, we lived in a lavish home on a posh side of town.

I wasn’t exposed to alot that was going on around the world, so my parents did their best to provide the best life for me.

In junior high, my school organized a trip for volunteers to help families affected by floods. It was an eye-opening experience that made me realize how privileged I was. Many people across the world had little to nothing. But, they never gave up hope even when faced with the worst circumstances! That changed my outlook on life, and I began doing lots of volunteer work. On one occasion, I was working with at-risk kids and rented a room near the volunteer centre! Dad came to visit and brought me a portable Heating and A/C system. I had told him the room was cold and didn’t have heating. Though I knew he wanted to rent me a better place, I declined the offer. It was better to stay in the small room and have a portable A/C unit. The room wasn’t bad, and the family was friendly. However, the central heating and cooling unit weren’t efficient, and we’d tried connecting it to the newly built room, but it kept shutting down, so my only choice was to get a separate heating unit for space. Dad had got in touch with an A/C vendor and obtained a quality air conditioner unit, however after turning it on, the room began getting warmer, and I got rid of some of my clothes. The quality Heating and A/C had numerous features and was simple to control using the smart thermostat unit. The best part about the new A/C was the fact that it was an energy-efficient device. That meant I could control the amount of power I was using. It was a good cooling system.
