Hissing sound coming from HVAC device

Sandra had the most suitable weekend planned for her partner, who was flying in.

She lived in an unusual part of the country, and they hadn’t been together in some time.

The distance wasn’t so bad for them since they were always talking, and Sandra went ahead to get modern bedsheets, towels, scented candles, flowers, popcorn, and other items she knew she would appreciate. She drove to the lake cabin feeling ecstatic since she would spend the day cleaning her household. The cabin was cool when Sandra got to the lake cabin since the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device was on. But, she heard a distinct hissing sound she’d never heard before coming from the indoor unit. Sandra put all the things she was carrying on the counter and got her iPhone. She wanted to call a neighbor who was an A/C device worker to inform him about the hissing noise. The A/C mechanic answered the call on the second ring and listened to Sandra explain the issue. Immediately she asked Sandra to turn off the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C component since that sounded something like a refrigerant leak. Refrigerants can be quite toxic, and it was best for Sandra to open the windows and doors to let in the fresh air. The A/C mechanic had another appointment but treated this as an emergency and rushed to Sandra’s cabin to maintain the faulty Heating, Ventilation plus A/C unit! Further inspection of the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device revealed cracks on the refrigerant lines causing the refrigerant to leak out. Sandra honestly was lucky to have heard the hissing noise and turned off the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device. The A/C mechanic had to mend the cracks then tested the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device to ensure no more leaks.
