I am not technologically savvy at all.
- When our guy recommended every one of us change our temperature control to a smart single, I figured I was too dumb for it! I tried making due with our aged dial temperature control and it wasn’t possible… The beach house temperature control was a beige box and plastic toggle! You could toggle from 60, 70, 69 and 90 degrees.
That was about as exact as you could get with central heating and cooling, then my guy consistently hit the toggle with his shoulder when walking down the hallway… However, frequently he would nudge it to 90 degrees and the apartment would be so hot. For me I never could learn the numbers since I don’t keep our glasses on hand. The temperature control was just easily ugly too. I let our guy buy and install the temperature control because I wanted it to look better. The silver surround and gray innerface is easily pretty. It matches our beach house decor and fits our new theme. I found I enjoy the functionality of the temperature control too. I am not too stupid to operate it either. They make this entire temperature control pretty idiot proof. I can walk by the temperature control and it lights up to show me the temperature. I can check the whole outdoor temperature and the hourly temperatures. I also can control the heating and cooling from our phone, then once I downloaded the app it was amazing how straight-forward it is to set up a heating and air conditioning program. I also get alerts on air filter swings, humidity levels, air quality problems and energy efficient settings. This temperature control is also amazing.
