I often travel for my job.
For around 4 months out of the year, I’m on the road.
I am currently single, so my house sits vacant a bunch. I always worried about what I might come home to. I am so busy. There is a chance of mangle caused by drastic weather conditions. I’d have no way of knowing if a tree fell on the roof or the basement was filled with water until I arrived home. I considered taking in a friend, but wasn’t ecstatic with this idea. I adore having my own private space. I love everything to be just as I left it when I come back. After a lot of looking around and debates, I finally invested in a complete house security system. The security plan is part of a house automation care package that includes lighting, heating/cooling control, surveillance cameras, window/door sensors, and even a sump pump system. The house automation plan is linked to my smartphone, allowing me to look up on the home at anytime, from virtually anywhere in the world. I’m able to watch real time video of the inside and outside of the property. I get texts if there’s someone outside, a temperature fluctuation, power outage or if a window or door is accessed. Along with checking up with the home, I can also make adjustments. Through an app on my PC I’m able to up or decrease indoor temperature, turn lights on and off, unlock to lock doors and even start up numerous household appliances.
