The discussion with my father was going to be endless. He kept contradicting every method I offered him, which was terribly frustrating. I wanted to quit working with him but of course I knew he was not only the best contractor in town, although he also wanted to make sure my residence was totally perfect. I tried to reason with him about certain things I wanted. Our most epic fight was about the central heating and cooling machine. I wanted a quality machine that would keep the residence nice and sizzling through the winter months. The initial cost to install the heating machine wasn’t a pressing concern since I had a good budget. But, we essentially had to agree on which heating machine to get. My father wanted to go for a heat pump. The heat pump would work in the Summer and Winter season to cool or provide enough heating for the residence. But, I had done a good amount of research and wanted an oil furnace as well. I’d have an oil furnace to provide good heating to the home in the Winter season and Heating, Ventilation, and A/C machines to cool it in the hot months. Dad had reservations about installing an oil furnace. He kept reminding me that oil wasn’t very cheap. I’d also need an on-site tank to store enough oil to sustain myself and others all through the frosty months. I realized that he made valid points, but dad had to back off to some degree. This was our residence, and I knew which machine would work for it… My best buddy had an oil furnace, and I got to experience it the Winter season prior! Honestly, the equipment managed to make the house especially warm, which was impressive.
