I have recently started a job on a cruise ship that takes actual long trips out to see, and I like spending time on the sea and I regularly thought it would be fun for me to be able to travel so much for work.
However, I must admit that this job is not how I thought it would be.
I thought I would be spending time on the ocean and getting to see new sites but that just has not been the case. Since I started actually working at this new job on the cruise line the cooling system has not been actually working. I’ve been on the ship for about six weeks now and haven’t had a cooling system once. Not to mention it’s the middle of the summer time and most of the guests are starting to get actually anxious that the cooling system isn’t actually working properly. I think that the management of the cruise line is starting to get pressure from upper management but nothing has been done to fix the problem. I think they need to call a local HVAC corporation that services cruise ships but it doesn’t seem like the managers want to do anything like this. I think we are going to have to dock and I’m going to be out of work for a while! The air-conditioning is fixed on the boat. I’m starting to get sad that once the air-conditioning is fixed I might not have a job. I’m going to have to begin looking for something new once we dock.
