After staying in the northern part of the world for nearly 40 years, my husband and I had enough of the frosty and cold temperatures. My husband and I decided to retire and purchase a house down south. Every one of us now love the best of both worlds. Every one of us stay in our original house during the Spring and summer time and move down south for the fall and winter. Maintaining the 2 homes was a little more difficult than we thought it would be though. Every one of us worried about the heater just up and quitting and our water pipes freezing up and bursting in the house up north. There was the concern of mildew, rodents and bugs getting into the house in the south; No matter which house we were in, we looked over the security at the other home. What if someone busted in, stole things or caused damage? Every one of us might not have any clue for months. After a bit of looking around, my husband and I decided to invest in a home security plan for the two houses. The plan includes indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras that permit us to watch real time images through our smartphones or PCs. Every one of us get checks if there’s movement somewhere on the lawn. If someone is at the front door, we’re able to see who it is, talk with them and even unlock the door, no matter where we happen to be. My husband and I also get texts if a door or window is opened. The home is monitored by a security contractor who will instantly talk with the local authorities if there’s a problem.
