I have recently started a job on a cruise ship that takes really long trips out to see.
I love spending time on the sea, and I always thought it would be fun for me to be able to travel so much for work.
However, I must admit that this job is not how I thought it would be. I thought I would be spending time on the ocean and getting to see new sites but that just has not been the case. Since I started working at this new job on the cruise line the air conditioning has not been working. I’ve been on the ship for about six weeks now and haven’t had air conditioning once. Not to mention it’s the middle of the summer and most of the guests are starting to get really annoyed that the air conditioning isn’t working properly. I know that the management of the cruise line is starting to get pressure from upper management but nothing has been done to fix the problem. I think they need to call a local HVAC company that services cruise ships but it doesn’t seem like the managers want to do anything like this. I know we are going to have to dock and I’m going to be out of work for a while. The air-conditioning is fixed on the boat. I’m starting to get worried that once the air-conditioning is fixed I might not have a job. I’m going to have to start looking for something new once we dock.
